On their surface, due to particular geological characteristics, the Laga Mountains are extraordinarily rich in waterways, that fall into the valley and flow into thundering waterfalls, like the impressive Volpara and Prata waterfalls.
In this area there is the first authentic wood in the Marche: 413 hectares that received the PEFC certification (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) for the protection of biodiversity of the territory and its sustainable management.
The small towns of Pozza and Umito, cwhich we meet along the way, are the setting for one of the oldest and most characteristic carnivals in the region, the Carnival of the Zanni.
